With the hustle and bustle of our lives, sometimes you need to take some time to getaway. We decided to getway a few summers ago to a tiny cabin called Getaway House in Asheboro. We found out about Getaway House through a modeling job and we fell in love ever since. Getaway House has secret cabins all over United States. For North Carolina, Getaway Asheboro is the only option. We took a quick 30-minute drive to The Getaway House in Asheboro, NC in the middle of the summer from Greensboro, NC. When we arrived, we were met with a rocky road and multiple tiny cabin houses. If you are looking for a glamping and modern cabin experience, then keep reading!
The Cabin
The Getaway House is not your average cabin experience. The Getaway cabin is have a modern black exterior. We stayed in the Eugene Cabin with the waterview. It is small but was big enough for the two of us. One of my favorite aespects of the cabin was the large window pictured below. It is perfect for watching the sunset and sunrise. I also love the bench and outdoor fire pit with grill grates, excellent for grilling and firing up smoores. The nearby cabins are very close in promxitiy. If your neighbors are noisy, you could hear but the sounds could be tuned out with by fire crackles.
Inside The Cabin
The cabin has a large, cozy, and sturdy bed perfect for cuddles. You can also book a 2 bed cabin thats a bunk bed. The cabin has a small kitchen with a stovetop, a refrigerator, and a sink. There's extra storage above and below the stovetop with pots, pans, and any utensil you need. There's also a small table with chairs and a bench connected to the bed. There's also small bathroom with a private toilet and shower.

Around The Cabin
There were many small trails around the cabin where you could walk by the other cabins or to the lake. The Eugene Getaway was a short downhill walk to the nearby lake. Theres a trail that wraps around a lovely lake, where we saw turtles. We also found a lovely waterfall where there was a small bench to sit and reflect.
Food & Drinks
We wanted the real cabin experience, so we decided to cook our own food instead of finding restaurants. Here are a few picks provided by Getaway for food and activites. We bought our groceries from the only Walmart in Asheboro and it was 10 minutes away. Throughout our trip, we grilled burgers and steaks for dinner. For breakfast, we made sandwiches filled stuffed with omlettes and bacon on the kitchen stovetop
Things To Do
We spent majority of our time reading, walking, grilling, and relaxing. We decided to drive 6 miles to hike at the Purgatory Mountain Trailhead that was connected to the North Carolina Zoo. The hike was an easy upwill walk and around 1.8 miles.
